At our 50th anniversary event we did a Heads and Tails game in aid of St Giles Hospice, thanks to the generosity of everyone at the event including donations from Hanson UK and D&C Engineers, a whopping £2500 was raised.
Ashleigh Mills fundraiser at St Giles Hospice said:
Wow! What an incredible amount raised by the guests at the dinner. £2,500 is an outstanding donation and will make a real difference to the patients and families we support.
St Giles Hospice deliver care to some of the most vulnerable people in our community and with an ever-growing need for our service – your support is vital to help us continue that work. Your generous donation will help to fund the following:
- £5 will pay for meals for a patient at the end of their life.
- £10 will pay for 1 hour of housekeeping to keep the hospice clean.
- £28 will pay for 1 hour of one-to-one nursing care for a patient..
- £40 will pay for 1 hour of our Advice and Referrals team.
- £676 will pay for 24 hours of hospice care for a patient at the end of their life.
