D&C Engineers is thrilled to have collaborated with CEMEX on a significant upgrade at their Wembley Readymix Plant in West London.
This extensive project involved the removal and complete refurbishment of the plant’s aggregate storage bins and critical access upgrades, helping secure its operations for years to come.
Installed back in 1986, the original bins have served through some of London’s busiest construction periods, including the rebuild of Wembley Stadium.
Our team at D&C Engineers was responsible for designing and manufacturing the new bins in three oversized bolted sections, ensuring smooth transportation, efficient installation and minimal downtime.
The bins traveled nearly 150 miles from Tamworth to Wembley with a police escort, and were installed over two weeks – just in time to avoid the rush around Taylor Swift’s Wembley Stadium performances!
A big thank you to the dedicated teams from both CEMEX and D&C Engineers for completing this project on time, within budget, and with zero H&S incidents. This upgrade not only enhances mechanical reliability but also improves the working environment for the entire plant team.
